Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Welcome to Soma Arts. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Soma Arts website, our guest sign-up forms and the Soma Arts Portal. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or Portal.

1. Who may use the website and Portal

The website is for adults and teens age 13 or older. Only an adult age 18 or older may open a family account, submit a guest sign-up, or register a dancer under 18. A parent or legal guardian must provide and manage registration information for a child. Dancers under 13 do not receive their own login. A dancer age 13 to 17 may have a student login only with a parent or guardian’s consent, and the parent remains responsible for the account.

2. Your account

Keep your login details private and let us know right away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your family account, including guardians and students you invite to it. Please keep your contact, emergency and billing information current.

If you sign in with Google or turn on Face ID, Touch ID or a similar quick unlock, keep that Google account and your device secure. Anyone who can unlock your device may be able to open the Portal on it. If you connect another app to your account, you are responsible for what you allow it to do.

3. Classes and programs

Soma Arts offers dance classes and related programs. Class descriptions, age and skill recommendations, schedules, instructors, and availability may change. Programs shown on the website may not all be open for enrollment at the same time. Placements are confirmed by the studio.

Each dancer is placed in a level from 1 to 8 for each style and attends the classes for that level. A choreography class requires enrollment in the technique class of the same style. Level 1 classes have a minimum age of 5; younger dancers may be placed only with studio approval. Make-up classes may be taken only in classes the studio has approved for that class.

Registration, tuition, payment dates, late fees, cancellation and withdrawal rules, and any program-specific commitments will be explained in the applicable enrollment materials before you enroll. Those materials may include a separate agreement or waiver that you must review and sign in the Portal. If those materials conflict with these general terms, the enrollment agreement applies to that enrollment.

4. Payments

Every charge — tuition, registration fees, auditions, costumes, shop orders, private lessons and tickets — is added to your family account. A purchase you make in the Portal goes into your cart first; the studio then confirms it and adds it to your payment plan.

  • Registration fee. $25 per family, once a year, due by the dancer’s first class.
  • Tuition plans. Each season has two semesters. Choose 10 monthly payments, or 2 payments (each semester paid up front, at a discount).
  • Due dates and late fees. Monthly tuition is auto-drafted on the 1st. If that payment fails, or you have opted out of autopay and have not paid by 11:59 pm on the 5th, a $25 late fee is added.
  • Private lessons. A private lesson that has not been prepaid is charged when the lesson begins.

Online payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms once they are live, and you authorize Soma Arts to charge your saved payment method on the scheduled dates. Until then, the studio will tell you how to pay.

5. Shop, tickets, guest sign-ups and other purchases

Shop orders are picked up at the studio unless we tell you otherwise. The price, available options, applicable sales tax, and any cancellation or return terms will be shown with the item or at checkout. Recital and event tickets may be limited per family and are subject to the event details shown when you buy them.

You may request a free trial class, sign up for an audition, master class or event, or place a shop order, without a Portal account. By submitting a guest sign-up you agree to the Family Handbook and these terms. A guest sign-up is a request: the studio will follow up to confirm it. Each new dancer may take one free trial class. Guest shop orders are paid at pickup.

6. Private lessons

Parents can book open private lesson times for their dancer in the Portal. A student can request a lesson, but it is reserved only after a parent approves it. Booked lessons are added to your payment plan.

7. Studio Sitters

Studio Sitters is a supervised play space offered as a convenience while a parent or guardian is at the studio. It is not a licensed child care program. It is for children under 10, who do not need to be enrolled dancers. A parent or guardian must stay on-site for the full session, which may last up to 90 minutes. A signed waiver is required for each child, the fee is shown on the Studio Sitters page, and reservations help us make sure a sitter is available. Snacks are not permitted, and we will come get you for potty or diaper needs.

8. Community guidelines

Class threads, posts, comments and messages are for studio business and should be kind and respectful. Do not post anything harmful, harassing, or inappropriate, or share photos of other people’s children without permission. Anyone can report content to the studio. Soma Arts may hide content or limit an account that breaks these guidelines. Messages and comments are kept for safety and are not private from the studio.

9. Use of site content

The Soma Arts name, logo, writing, designs, and other materials on this website are owned by Soma Arts or used with permission. You may view the website for your personal use. You may not copy, republish, sell, or use our materials commercially without written permission. Music, videos and notes shared in class threads are for your dancer’s practice only. Other names and materials belong to their respective owners.

10. Website information, calendar files and links

We work to keep website information useful and current, but schedules, descriptions, and other information can change or contain mistakes. Please contact us to confirm important details before making plans. Calendar files you download show the schedule at the time you download them and do not update on their own if the schedule changes. The website may link to third-party websites or services. Soma Arts does not control those sites, and their own terms and privacy practices apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the website and Soma Arts programs develop. We will post the updated terms here and change the “Last updated” date. Changes apply going forward from the date they are posted. Separate signed enrollment or purchase agreements remain subject to their own terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without changing any rights that cannot legally be waived.

13. Contact
