Training Semesters
Soma Arts operates on a semester-based training schedule — a Fall Semester (20 weeks) and a Spring Semester (20 weeks) — plus a Summer Block (4 weeks) in June. Tuition is based on your family’s total hours per week, including Pathway classes.
Academy enrollment covers the full training year. Semesters are used for billing, scheduling, and curriculum planning — enrollment automatically rolls over each semester unless a written withdrawal is submitted. The Summer Block does not automatically roll over, giving families the opportunity to confirm summer schedules.
Academy enrollment remains open throughout the season. When dancers begin mid-semester, tuition is prorated based on the remaining weeks.
Payment Options
Families may choose one of the following payment plans:
- 10 monthly payments (default). Tuition is auto-drafted on the 1st of each month. If the payment fails, or you’ve opted out of autopay and haven’t paid by 11:59 pm on the 5th, a $25 late fee is added.
- 2 semester payments. Each semester is paid up front, before it begins, with a 5% early payment discount.
- Registration fee. $25 per family, once a year, due by the dancer’s first class and auto-drafted that day if unpaid.

Monthly Tuition
Your family’s monthly tuition is based on total hours per week across all dancers and all classes, including pathways.
- Quarter and half hours fall between these rates.
- Siblings’ hours combine for a lower rate; the studio confirms your family total.
Account Hold Policy
Accounts that become more than 45 days past due will be placed on Account Hold.
While on hold:
- Dancers may not participate in performances
- Costumes will not be ordered or distributed
- Participation in new choreography or pathway opportunities may be paused
- Balances must be cleared before re-enrollment in the following semester
Account Hold status will be lifted once the outstanding balance is resolved.
We understand that extenuating circumstances may arise. Families experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to communicate proactively. Payment arrangements may be considered at the discretion of the studio.
Withdrawal & Refunds
Pathway Programs
Company and Conservatory participants sign annual agreements and are financially responsible for the full program year once their contract is signed. No refunds will be given.
Academy Enrollment
A 30-day written notice is required for Academy withdrawals.
If a dancer withdraws before Week 10 of a semester, any tuition paid beyond the first half of the semester will be refunded.
Withdrawals after Week 10 are not eligible for refunds, as the majority of the semester has already been reserved and staffed.
