Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 30, 2026

The Soma Arts LLC wants our website and the Soma Arts Portal to be easy for everyone to use, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Each pathway has its own color, and every text and background color pair on those pages has been checked to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for regular text.
  • Color is never the only way information is shown on pathway pages: they are labeled by name, and the pathway you are on is marked with an outline and underline as well as color, for visitors with color blindness.
  • Each main menu heading (Home, Academy, Pathways and Shop) is a link to that section’s page, and its dropdown opens when you hover over it or reach it with the keyboard. In the mobile menu, each section starts with an overview link.
  • The weekly schedule lines classes up by start time across the days, and every class also shows its start and end time in writing, so you never have to rely on position alone. On phones, each day is listed in time order.
  • Class schedules can be downloaded as standard calendar files, so you can use them in the calendar app and accessibility tools you already use.
  • Face ID, Touch ID and similar quick unlock are optional. You can always sign in with your email and password or with Google instead.
  • Links and buttons show a visible outline when you move through the site with a keyboard.
  • Motion and animation are turned off for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion.
  • Images include text descriptions, and pages use headings so screen readers can navigate them.
  • The site works on phones, tablets and computers, and supports zooming in.

What we are still working on

We have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit, and the Portal is still being built, so some features may still be difficult to use. On the weekly schedule, a class’s program is currently shown mainly by color, and on smaller tablet screens the schedule may need to be scrolled sideways. We review new pages as we add them.

Need help?
