Company Attendance

Each routine includes a weekly 30- to 60-minute rehearsal. Dancers may miss up to 3 rehearsals per routine per semester. After 3 absences, the dancer’s placement will be under review. If additional absences occur, a paid private lesson is required to catch up. If a dancer does not schedule a private, or continues to be behind, consequences may include: choreography adjustments, reduced placement within the routine, understudy replacement, or removal from the routine. All absences must be emailed to the front desk. If last-minute, a phone call is also required.

The 2 weeks leading up to any performance or competition are mandatory. Absences during this time may result in removal or spacing adjustments, and placement in routines is not guaranteed if these rehearsals are missed. If a dancer is ill during a mandatory week, the studio must be notified by parent email and the dancer must join rehearsal via video link to observe and receive corrections in real time.

Company dancers must maintain enrollment in Academy classes as their primary training foundation. Missing 3 classes of any one Academy class places the dancer under Attendance Review. Make-up classes are available and encouraged to stay in good standing.

VIVA Intensive attendance is mandatory for all Company dancers. VIVA runs concurrently with choreography week and is part of the Company commitment for the season. Summer Block minimums will be communicated annually and are part of the pathway commitment.
